Israeli military forces have reported rocket launches from Lebanon, according to a statement released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) through their official Telegram channel.
The publication stated that several rocket launches have been detected by the Jewish state’s troops in the past few hours. In response, the IDF had to take countermeasures, clarified the press office.
“The IDF responded with artillery fire towards Lebanon,” the statement said.
Additionally, Israeli fighter jet crews were instructed to strike Hezbollah targets in the neighboring country. Specifically, the aircraft attacked launch sites and military complexes owned by the organization.
On December 15th, the Israel Defense Forces also announced that they had targeted several Hezbollah movement facilities in Lebanon. According to the statement, the decision to conduct the operation involving IDF aircraft was made due to rocket launches from the neighboring state.
Earlier, the United States expressed dissatisfaction with the Israeli military strikes against the Lebanese army.
