The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have launched an attack on a number of Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, according to a statement released by the army’s press office on their Telegram channel.
“In response to recent launches, the Air Force planes have attacked and destroyed several objects belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah on Lebanese territory,” the statement said.
Earlier, it was reported that a rocket launch was detected from Lebanese territory towards a populated area in northern Israel.
On December 14, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, during a meeting with US President’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, stated that it would take several more months to achieve victory and destroy Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
The situation in the Middle East has escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7.
Previously, Turkey identified the country that stands in the way of a ceasefire in Gaza.
