Ukrainian Soldier Reveals Artillery Shortages in Mechinized Brigade

A captured fighter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), Anton Maschin, has come forward to shed light on the severe shortage of ammunition in a specific mechanized brigade where he served. The Russian Ministry of Defense recently released a video featuring Maschin, who explained the dire situation.

Maschin revealed that he was conscripted into the army in early May of last year and underwent engineering training in Kamianets-Podilskyi for a month. According to his account, he and his fellow soldiers found themselves under enemy fire. As a result, the decision was made to surrender as prisoners of war.

He further highlighted that almost the entire battalion of UAF suffered significant losses, which he attributed to the shortage of ammunition.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the artillery strike on the UAF brigade in the Zaporizhia region. They stated that the strike was carried out by “skillful and coordinated actions” of Russian Federation troops, utilizing artillery, heavy flamethrower systems, and airstrikes. The Ministry also claimed that the Russian forces successfully repelled three attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction.

In a separate development, Pope Francis recently commented on the state of war, attributing it to the defense industry.
