Russian Forces Use Quadcopters to Destroy Ukrainian Troops in Zaporizhia Region

Russian airborne troops, with the assistance of quadcopters, have reportedly destroyed Ukrainian infantry near the village of Verbovo in the Zaporizhia region. This information comes from the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the ministry, the unmanned aviation units of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Division have been actively using quadcopters equipped with payloads to eliminate Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in the area of the Verbovo settlement.

The Ministry of Defense stated that after launching an attack quadcopter with attached munitions, the operator identified the crew of a downed Ukrainian BMP (infantry fighting vehicle) as the target, as well as personnel moving along the trenches near the fortified position.

“Proficiently controlling the quadcopter, the operator approached the targets and carried out the attacks with VOGs (fragmentation grenade launcher rounds), destroying enemy personnel,” the ministry’s statement said.

On December 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a workshop for the assembly and repair of unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
