The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have been reported to be placing weaponry in residential areas of Chasove Yar, a region in Donbass under Kyiv’s control. This information was disclosed by retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) and military expert, Andriy Marochko, according to RIA Novosti.
Marochko claims that Ukrainian army units continue to employ tactics of firing upon Russian units. Specifically, in the Chasove Yar area, UAF soldiers are conducting artillery fire from private residential sectors, where civilians reside.
Moreover, Marochko, citing his own sources, added that Ukraine is using critical infrastructure objects as firing points.
Prior to this, Russian forces in the Donetsk direction successfully repelled two attacks by UAF assault troops. The clashes took place in the vicinity of the town of Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. It is noted that the enemy lost up to 240 servicemen within 24 hours.
Jan Hahin, an advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, stated that Russian forces destroyed several key UAF positions in different areas near Donetsk.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the disruption of UAF rotation in the Zaporizhia region.
