During a briefing, it was stated that the Israelis have discussed their potential timeline for military operations in Gaza and had a productive conversation with Jake Sullivan about the conditions that they hope will be created. The protection of the civilian population was seriously discussed.

The White House representative stated that Israel aims to minimize casualties among the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.
