In a recent development, the Western Group of Russian Armed Forces has successfully eliminated a Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) evacuation group along with their damaged vehicles. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense to TASS.
According to the ministry, the soldiers from the Western Group of Forces conducted the operation using 30mm automatic grenade launchers AGS-17 “Flame”.
During the night, the unmanned aerial vehicles of a reconnaissance unit from the motorized infantry brigade detected the movement of UAF personnel and a repair-evacuation vehicle.
“The enemy intended to evacuate the damaged tank during the night,” said the commander of the motorized infantry unit, codenamed “Cloud”.
He emphasized that as a result, two pieces of equipment and the entire enemy evacuation group were successfully neutralized.
Prior to this incident, Russian forces had targeted UAF firing positions in the South Donetsk direction. The enemy’s losses amounted to around 130 servicemen. The strikes were carried out by aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense disclosed the amount of military assistance received since February 2022.
