The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the deployment of four new Sa’ar 6-class corvettes to the Red Sea, as tensions continue to rise in the Gaza sector. The IDF’s naval forces have been carrying out strikes on hundreds of targets and providing support to ground operations.
According to the IDF’s press service, Israeli forces have successfully eliminated the majority of senior leaders of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, which consisted of hundreds of operatives specializing in maritime attacks.
In addition, the Israeli Navy has managed to intercept several unmanned underwater vehicles intended to target strategic maritime assets and coastal areas of the Jewish state.
