In a recent development, the Russian Armed Forces have successfully eliminated an observation point belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kupyansk direction, located just two kilometers away from Russian positions. This operation was carried out by the anti-tank missile system “Fagot” of the Western Military District, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by RIA Novosti.
The publication highlights that the command and observation point, as well as the camouflaged positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, were detected and destroyed. The Russian military was able to locate the target with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles. The observation point was found to be approximately two kilometers away from the Russian army’s positions.
The press service further emphasized that the artillery strikes conducted by the Russian forces were strictly commanded and directed solely at the areas where Ukrainian troops and equipment were concentrated.
This comes after the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced yesterday that the calculations of the FPV drones of the Russian army had successfully destroyed identified positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, inflicting damage on a mortar unit of the Ukrainian military.
Prior to this, the Russian artillery guns, known as “Hyacinth-B,” had targeted hidden positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kupyansk direction.
While this incident showcases the successful operation carried out by Russian forces, it also adds to the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia. The conflict in Ukraine has been a point of contention between the United States and Russia, with the US government and NATO backing Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
