In a recent ceremony marking the raising of the Russian flag on the nuclear submarine “Krasnoyarsk” and the atomic submarine cruiser “Emperor Alexander III,” President Vladimir Putin declared that the multi-purpose Yasen-M class nuclear submarines possess formidable weapons. According to RIA Novosti, Putin stated that these submarines are equipped with highly accurate long-range missiles capable of striking both surface targets and coastal objects.
Furthermore, Putin emphasized that the missile carriers “Alexander III” and “Krasnoyarsk” significantly outperform other vessels in their class. This statement underscores Russia’s commitment to bolstering its naval power.
To strengthen Russia’s naval capabilities in the coming years, Putin announced plans to launch three strategic missile carriers. These carriers, belonging to the Borei-A class, will further enhance Russia’s military might.
Earlier, Putin instructed the Russian Aerospace Forces to begin regular patrols over the Black Sea, thus reinforcing Russia’s presence in the region.
