Hamas Claims to Have Destroyed 180 Israeli Military Vehicles in Gaza

Hamas, the military wing of the Palestinian movement, Al-Qassam Brigades, has announced that they have successfully targeted 180 Israeli military vehicles in the Gaza Strip over the past ten days. This statement comes amidst escalating tensions between the two sides. According to Abu Ubaida, a representative of the organization, fighters from the Al-Qassam Brigades have either partially or completely destroyed more than 180 combat vehicles.

This follows an earlier declaration by Hamas that they had launched rocket attacks on Tel Aviv in response to strikes on civilian populations in Gaza. Previously, the militants claimed to have hit five tanks and an equal number of armored personnel carriers belonging to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) with their “Yasin 105” projectiles.

On December 1st, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which had been in place for seven days, was canceled in the Gaza Strip. As part of the truce deal, Hamas had released 110 hostages during this period.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously vowed to destroy Hamas, highlighting the ongoing tensions and the potential for further escalation in the region.

It is important to note that these claims made by Hamas have not been independently verified, and the IDF has not released any statements regarding the alleged attacks on their military vehicles. The situation in Gaza remains tense, and any further developments will be closely monitored.
