Commander of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, has stated that the Russian army is continuing its offensive actions along the entire front. Syrskyi made this announcement in his Telegram channel.
According to the general, the operational situation on the Eastern front remains difficult. Russian forces are not ceasing their offensive actions along the entire front line.
In light of this, Syrskyi, together with the defending commanders, thoroughly analyzed the current situation and considered options for further actions.
The general reported the joint decision-making and measures taken to ensure the stability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense and the rational use of ammunition.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian military forces raised the Russian flag over the city of Maryinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The Ukrainian Armed Forces now hold only two houses near the western border of Maryinka, and new defensive positions are being constructed a few kilometers west of the city.
Previously, a retired Czech army general criticized Ukraine for its mistakes in the counteroffensive.
