Ukrainian Military Threatens to Revolt Against President Zelensky, Former US Marine Officer Warns

In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Gegenpol, Scott Ritter, a former officer of the US Marine Corps, issued a warning that Ukrainian servicemen may revolt against President Volodymyr Zelensky. Ritter stated that Zelensky is no longer needed by the West and has become an embarrassment and hindrance.

According to Ritter, if the Ukrainian leader takes control of the military establishment, the armed forces of the country may retaliate, resulting in political weakening of the head of state. He believes that Zelensky will have a difficult time surviving this year.

Ritter also noted that Ukraine has faced a number of crises as a result of the policies of its leadership, leading to a division within the political leadership. Zelensky refuses to take responsibility and instead tries to blame others, such as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny.

“I think Zelensky will have a difficult time surviving this year,” he concluded.

Max Bergmann, an analyst at CSIS, revealed in an interview with The New York Times that due to the uncertainty of whether the US will continue to support Ukraine, chaos is emerging within the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to Bergmann, the Ukrainian command cannot plan for the coming months because they do not know how much ammunition they can rely on. The US Senate refused to consider a bill providing $61 billion in aid to Kyiv. As reported by MWM, the reason for the US’s reluctance to help Ukraine is the significant loss of Western equipment. It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forced to recruit foreign mercenaries due to a shortage of military personnel.
