Russian Su-35S Fighter Jet Sets Record for Range, Showcasing Advanced Capabilities

The Russian Su-35S, a highly maneuverable fourth-generation++ fighter jet, has achieved a record-breaking range due to its unique fuel tank placement, according to officials from “Rostec,” the state corporation responsible for the development and production of high-tech products in Russia.

With fuel tanks strategically positioned in the aircraft’s fuselage and wing consoles, the Su-35S has surpassed a distance of 3,500 kilometers, setting a new benchmark for range. Furthermore, the issue of fuel displacement under high G-force conditions has been resolved through the use of sponge-like polyurethane material.

The officials at “Rostec” emphasized that the Su-35S is comparable to fifth-generation fighter jets in terms of most characteristics. Equipped with AL-41F-1S engines, it can achieve supersonic speeds without engaging the afterburner mode.

On December 7th, Russian pilots showcased their exceptional piloting skills in Abu Dhabi, where the distance between their aircraft during takeoff was only a few meters, demonstrating the precision and capabilities of the Su-35S.

In addition to this achievement, Russia has also recently developed a new drone suppression system, further highlighting their advancements in military technology.
