Ukrainian Defense Minister’s Plans to Retake Crimea Ridiculed by Crimean Deputy

Crimean Deputy Mikhail Sheremet has openly mocked the plans of the Kiev authorities to regain control of the Crimean Peninsula. In a statement reported by RIA Novosti, Sheremet dismissed the intentions of the “Kiev Nazis” and stated that their plans were nothing more than a joke. He sarcastically remarked that while it is common to make plans for the year in spring and plans for the day in the morning, no storyteller or fortune-teller would dare to construct plans or provide predictions for Ukraine.

On December 9th, the Ukrainian Defense Minister threatened to capture Crimea, revealing that the Ukrainian government had specific “developments” in place to take control of the peninsula by 2024. However, these statements were dismissed as boasting by the Federation Council.

Details of the Ukrainian Defense Minister’s visit to the United States on December 7th have also come to light.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had announced that they have a plan for the year 2024. The specifics of this plan have not been disclosed.
