Russian armed forces have reportedly struck three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Krasnolimanskoe region. This information was provided by the press center chief of the “Center” group, Alexander Savchuk, as cited by TASS.
According to Savchuk, “In the area of Serebryanskoye Forestry, the motorized infantry units, with the support of artillery fire, have successfully defeated the assault group of the 5th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. Strikes from aviation and artillery have also resulted in the defeat of the personnel and equipment of the 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades.”
He further clarified that the strikes took place in the areas of Chervonaya Dibrova and Grigorovka, with total losses for all Ukrainian units amounting to around 290 military personnel.
Prior to this, the Russian forces of the “South” group had destroyed two armored vehicles, a pickup truck, three cars, and a 120-millimeter mortar of the UAF.
According to Astafyev, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions using artillery and aviation in the areas of Grigorovka, Novomykhailivka, and Konstantinovka.
Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
