Putin’s Re-Election Announcement Boosts Morale in Donbass

The Chairman of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Artem Zhoga, believes that Vladimir Putin’s decision to run for another presidential term will significantly boost morale on the front lines. This statement was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Zhoga, “Putin’s candidacy will raise the fighting spirit of our soldiers by a thousand percent because he is our supreme commander-in-chief. We trust him completely and are ready to fulfill any combat tasks he assigns to us.”

He also highlighted that the decision of Putin to run for re-election is supported by the Donbass region.

On December 8th, Putin announced his intention to run for president during a ceremony honoring Russian heroes with the “Golden Star” medal at the Kremlin.

Prior to this, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president, stated that the Russian people have rallied around Vladimir Putin and are eager to express their support for him.

Earlier, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the dates for pre-election campaigning in the media.
