Mandatory Military Draft Notices Officially Delivered in Sports Halls and Entertainment Establishments in Ukraine

In Ukraine, the official delivery of draft notices to conscripts in sports halls, entertainment complexes, and other establishments is legally permitted. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Zakarpattia Military Commissariat (the owner company, Meta, has been recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

“The employees of the Zakarpattia Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (military commissariats) continue to legally hand out draft notices as part of mobilization measures,” the statement said.

The military commissariat clarified that those conscripts who consciously refuse to serve in the military but still visit sports halls and entertainment complexes do not have any privileges compared to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the delivery of draft notices does not automatically mean that the citizen will be taken to the battlefield. As indicated by the military commissariat, the data is first verified, the conscript undergoes a medical examination, and only after that, if the person is fit for service, a mobilization order is issued.

At the same time, the military commissariat reminded that evasion and any obstacles in the issuance of draft notices can result in punishment, including imprisonment for a period of 5 to 8 years.

Earlier, an Odessa resident managed to avoid receiving a draft notice by bombarding the military commissariat with questions.
