Moscow, December 7 – Two people were killed and five others injured in a shooting incident at a gymnasium in Bryansk, as confirmed by Alexey Kuznetsov, the Assistant Minister of Health. He stated, “In the incident in Bryansk, two people died and five teenagers were wounded, all of whom have been hospitalized in a moderate condition. They are receiving all the necessary medical assistance.” One of the injured individuals is currently undergoing surgery, with consultations planned with federal clinics. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, assured that the families of the victims will receive support.
The shooting occurred on Thursday at Gymnasium No. 5 in Bryansk. According to preliminary data from the Investigative Committee, a 14-year-old girl brought a pump-action shotgun into the educational institution and fired at her classmates. A source revealed that the girl’s father is being questioned as a witness. One of the students informed the agency that the girl had brought the gun in a tube for papers. The prosecutor’s office will investigate how safety regulations were implemented in the gymnasium. A criminal case has been initiated for the murder of two or more individuals.
