Ex-Governor Chris Christie Ready to Send US Forces to Israel-Palestine Conflict Zone

In a recent interview on the fourth Republican Party presidential debate, former Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, expressed his readiness to deploy the United States Armed Forces to the Israel-Palestine conflict zone in order to rescue American citizens held hostage by the Palestinian movement Hamas. The interview was conducted by NewsNation.

“If I am presented with a plan that proves we can safely extract them from there, I would send the American army to liberate our people and bring them home,” he stated.

Prior to this, New York Times columnist Peter Baker opined that the White House is effectively leading Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip.

Baker noted that Israel currently depends on the support of the United States, as Washington provides both military and political backing. According to the author, the US can shield Israel from international pressure, including that from the United Nations.

Earlier, John Mearsheimer, an American political scientist and proponent of offensive realism in international relations, stated that the US continues to support Israel out of fear of losing the backing of a powerful Jewish lobby.

In conclusion, Christie’s declaration highlights the potential involvement of the US military in the Israel-Palestine conflict, emphasizing the significance of American support for Israel in the international arena. The article sheds light on the reasons behind the US’s continued backing of Israel and the possible consequences of such support.
