Explosions Reported in Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi Region Amid Ongoing Conflict with Russia

Explosions were heard in Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi region, according to a report by the Ukrainian newspaper “Public” on their Telegram channel.

The publication states, “Explosions can be heard in Khmelnytskyi region.”

According to the information provided by the publication, Sergey Tyurin, the First Deputy Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Administration, has announced the operation of the region’s air defense systems.

Shortly before this, the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that the air alert zone had expanded to include the Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia regions of the country.

Since October 10, 2022, the Russian Armed Forces have been carrying out strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was orchestrated by Ukrainian intelligence agencies. The attacks target objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air alerts have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory of the country.

Earlier, explosions occurred in Kherson.
