Russia Completes Development of Testing Base for Future Strategic Bomber

In Russia, scientific work on the creation of a testing base for the prospective long-range aviation complex (PAK DA) has been completed. The state corporation “Rostec” has revealed details about the development of the aircraft, according to RIA Novosti.

It is noted that a team of scientists from one of Rostec’s enterprises was involved in the development of the testing base for the strategic bomber-missile carrier. This team was awarded the Tikhomirov Prize in the field of industrial construction and design for their contribution to the creation of the testing base.

The specialists involved in the development of PAK DA have conducted a complete cycle of scientific research and a series of design works to create the testing base and stand complex, as stated by the state corporation.

Russia began working on PAK DA in 2019, with the aim of replacing the Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3 currently in service.

It was later reported that testing of the ejection seat for PAK DA has begun.

Meanwhile, in the United States, there is skepticism about the bomber ever taking flight.

Earlier, a comparison was made between the Russian Su-30SM fighter and the French Rafale in the West.
