Russia Accuses Ukraine of Recruiting Teenagers for Frontline Fighting

In a recent briefing, Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are recreating Hitler Youth by using teenagers to replenish their forces on the frontlines. Zakharova highlighted that the first group of this modern-day Hitler Youth, comprised of orphaned teenagers, has already been trained at the “Haymadačka Seč” reserve training center and deployed to the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the UAF.

Zakharova referenced the reported death of 17-year-old Vladimir Sachala, who was conscripted from an orphanage and sent to serve in the UAF’s 103rd brigade. She stated that the Ukrainian authorities have reached an extreme level of ruthlessness by sending underage individuals to the frontlines.

The spokesperson also mentioned reports from the Kharkiv region of other orphaned individuals who were found dead with weapons in their hands.

Prior to this, Mariana Bezuhla, a member of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament), called on Ukrainian women to volunteer for the UAF.

Earlier, three UAF fighters crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to Russian Armed Forces.
