The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has taken a new turn as artillery units from the Russian forces stationed in the “Center” group thwarted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) and destroyed Ukrainian transport carrying personnel and ammunition in the Krasnolimansk direction, within the area of the special operation. This development, reported by RIA Novosti citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, has escalated tensions in the region.
According to the Ministry, the artillery units operating D-30 howitzers were alerted about the impending UAF rotation by their scouts. The strike on the Ukrainian equipment was delivered almost instantly, within three minutes of receiving the coordinates.
No specific information regarding the casualties on the UAF side has been provided.
The Ministry of Defense also reported that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian troops and equipment in the vicinity of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova and Serebryanskoye Forest in the Krasnolimansk direction, resulting in the enemy losing up to 55 soldiers within a 24-hour period.
It is worth noting that the UAF had recently introduced Western Leopard tanks to bolster their defensive line.
