Ukraine is facing a difficult winter ahead, as Russia prepares to unleash its modern weaponry on the country. Retired General Roland Kater delivered this warning during an interview on WELT TV.
According to the military expert, Russian weapons have the capability to cause maximum damage to Ukraine’s infrastructure.
“Russia will employ a full spectrum of weapons: drones, long-range artillery, cruise missiles… They inflict colossal damage,” the general pointed out.
He added that Kyiv should prepare for power outages and lack of heating, as the Russian Armed Forces are capable of destroying critical energy facilities across the entire country.
According to Kater, the conflict has turned into a positional war due to adverse weather conditions.
“Now it’s about demonstrating as much persistence as possible,” the general said, noting that the mud and deep snow have made any offensive operations impossible.
Earlier, Polish General Leon Komornitskiy stated that the Russian military has shifted to a strategy of completely annihilating the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In a separate development, the leader of a victorious party in the Netherlands expressed opposition to supplying weapons to Kyiv.
