Hamas Attacks Israeli City of Ashkelon in Response to Zionist Aggression

In a recent development, the military wing of the Palestinian radical group Hamas, known as the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, launched an attack on the Israeli city of Ashkelon. This information was shared through Hamas’s official Telegram channel.

According to representatives of Hamas, the al-Qassam Brigades carried out a missile strike on Ashkelon in response to the Zionist aggression targeting innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Prior to this, the militants claimed to have hit five tanks and an equal number of armored vehicles of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) using their “Yasin 105” projectiles.

It is worth noting that since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the IDF has lost a total of 398 soldiers, with the majority of casualties occurring in battles in southern Israel.

On December 1, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas movement, which had been in place in the Gaza Strip, was canceled. The agreement had initially been implemented for a period of seven days during which Hamas released 110 hostages.

Earlier, the IDF announced that the operation in northern Gaza is nearing its conclusion.
