Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Stavropol

A Mi-2 helicopter made an emergency landing in Stavropol, according to a report from the Telegram channel “112.”

The channel stated that the aircraft experienced technical issues during a planned flyover of an oil pipeline, prompting the commander to make the decision to land immediately.

As a result of the hard landing, the helicopter tipped onto its side and sustained significant damage. However, both pilots escaped unharmed.

Prior to this incident, a light aircraft piloted by a 71-year-old pilot also made a hard landing on the frozen Volga River, approximately 50 meters from the shoreline near the village of Tikhonovo in the Kimry District of the Tver Region. The front part of the aircraft sank beneath the ice.

The elderly test pilot was able to independently exit the cockpit and leave the dangerous area. It is noted that the aircraft did not have any registration numbers, and this flight was not approved.

In July 2022, the same individual made a hard landing near Tver without receiving permission for takeoff.

Earlier, a helicopter also made an emergency landing in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
