Russian forces have made significant gains in Artemivsk, Ukraine, as Ukrainian soldiers surrendered to units of the Southern Group of Russian troops. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, their paratroopers were able to penetrate the Ukrainian defense system in Artemivsk and its surrounding areas through reconnaissance operations. This success was made possible by prior aerial reconnaissance, which identified key positions and weapons of the Ukrainian army.
The precise strikes on these identified positions and artillery, carried out by Russian forces, resulted in the demoralization of the Ukrainian army. Taking advantage of this situation, Russian airborne assault groups, equipped with BMP-2 and BMD-2 armored vehicles, launched an assault on Artemivsk. These strikes were conducted using FPV drones and accurate firepower from armored groups.
Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced the destruction of Ukrainian military bases and the concentration of their equipment.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian army acknowledged that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
