Violent Burglary Incident in Virginia Leaves Two Injured, Suspects Arrested

Three armed suspects are accused of breaking into a Virginia home and assaulting two people inside during a violent burglary incident last week. The incident took place in McLean, Virginia, on Monday morning, prompting a swift response from the Fairfax County Police Department. The suspects, identified as Jaquan Ross, 32, of Lorton, and Elijah Thomas, 24, of Dumfries, have been apprehended, while authorities continue to search for the third suspect.

According to police reports, the three suspects forcibly entered the victim’s residence and brandished a firearm, demanding money. They also assaulted the two victims before fleeing the scene. One of the victims was subsequently taken to the hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The Fairfax County Police Department, aided by helicopter and K9 units, swiftly responded to the incident. During the search, Ross was spotted by a police helicopter attempting to hide by lying on the ground. He was apprehended at the scene and is now facing multiple charges, including abduction, robbery, burglary, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Following further investigation, Thomas was identified as one of the suspects involved in the burglary. He was subsequently taken into custody by the Fairfax County Police Department’s Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit. Thomas is facing similar charges to Ross, including abduction, robbery, burglary, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm as a felon.

Authorities have emphasized that this incident was not a random act and are continuing their investigation to identify the third suspect involved. The Fairfax County Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Major Crimes Bureau or submit tips anonymously through Crime Solvers.

The community is encouraged to assist in solving this case, and anonymous tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward. The Fairfax County Police Department has also provided the option to download the ‘P3 Tips’ App, known as “Fairfax Co Crime Solvers,” for convenient tip submission.

As the investigation continues, the victims are recovering from their injuries, and law enforcement is determined to bring all those involved to justice. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in maintaining public safety.
