Two Nevada state troopers tragically lost their lives on Thursday after being struck by a vehicle while assisting another driver on the I-15 freeway. Las Vegas police have taken charge of the investigation and are expected to provide further details in a media briefing later today. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when the troopers were engaged in a motorist assist.
The names of the deceased troopers have not yet been released, and it remains unclear whether the driver responsible for the collision has been apprehended. It is worth noting that this is not the first time a state trooper has been struck on the I-15. Earlier this year, Trooper Micah May lost his life during a pursuit of a stolen vehicle when he was hit by a car while deploying spike strips to halt the suspect’s escape.
