A vehicle wanted in connection with a homicide in Chicago crashed into a school bus during a police chase in Milwaukee on Wednesday, resulting in multiple injuries and sending several people to area hospitals. According to the Milwaukee police statement, the pursuit of the suspect vehicle began shortly before noon.
The collision between the suspect vehicle and the school bus caused the bus to flip over and crash into several other vehicles. The driver of the suspect vehicle, identified as a 26-year-old man, attempted to flee but was apprehended after a brief foot chase. The statement did not provide any additional details about the suspect or the homicide case.
Inside the suspect vehicle, there were two passengers, a 26-year-old and a 3-year-old. Both individuals sustained injuries, with the 26-year-old suffering “non-fatal” injuries and the 3-year-old sustaining serious injuries. They were promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
In addition to the occupants of the suspect vehicle, two other drivers were also injured in the crash. The 71-year-old school bus driver and the 30-year-old driver of another vehicle were taken to hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries. Fortunately, there were no other reported injuries.
