Sandra Jimenez, 44, was charged with aggravated battery in connection with the incident that occurred at their shared home, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
The incident unfolded on Saturday when officers responded to a hospital report of a man who had been stabbed in the eye with a needle. The victim revealed to the police that Jimenez had used their dogs’ rabies needles to pierce his right eyelid during an argument about him looking at other women.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jimenez reportedly attacked her boyfriend, with whom she had been in a relationship for eight years, while he was lying on the couch. She stabbed him with the rabies needles before leaving the scene once she realized the severity of her actions.
The victim immediately called 911 and was swiftly taken to a hospital, where he provided a detailed account of the attack to the officers. Meanwhile, police located Jimenez sleeping in her car outside their home and took her into custody.
