Fragile Ceasefire in Gaza Violated as Gunfire and Explosions Continue

Despite the agreement to extend the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days, reports of gunfire and explosions can still be heard in the enclave. This information has been reported by the Arabic television channel Al Arabiya.

According to the Palestinian Information Center, the sounds of gunfire and explosions are coming from the west of the city of Gaza. However, no further details are provided regarding these incidents, as noted by the television channel.

Citing local media sources, Al Arabiya also claims that Israeli forces have opened fire to the east of Khan Yunis and Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

A correspondent from the channel stated that these are the first signs of the ceasefire being violated. He further mentioned that in addition to the smoke, Israeli forces have also opened fire in the Beit Lahia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, and in the Sheikh Radwan area.

On November 28, the extended humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip came into effect, lasting until November 30.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that after a brief ceasefire, the operation in Gaza will continue for at least two more months.
