Ukrainian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Clash with Russian-backed Separatists

In a recent clash between Ukrainian forces and Russian-backed separatists, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) suffered significant casualties and lost military equipment. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD), up to 280 servicemen, along with 2 armored vehicles and 3 army vehicles, were lost on the Krasnolimansk direction. The MoD reported these developments on their Telegram channel.

The MoD attributed the successful repulsion of the attack by the 63rd Mechanized Brigade of the UAF in the vicinity of the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova in the Luhansk People’s Republic to the coordinated efforts of the army aviation and artillery units of the “Centr” task force.

Additionally, the Russian military managed to destroy personnel and equipment belonging to the 81st Airborne Brigade of the UAF in the area of the settlement of Belogorovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic.

The MoD summarized the losses inflicted on the enemy, stating, “The enemy’s losses amounted to up to 280 servicemen, 2 armored vehicles, and 3 vehicles.”

Prior to this incident, it was reported that the tankers of the Bashkir Volunteer Tank Battalion, named after Soviet Union hero Sergei Zorin, successfully destroyed the Ukrainian forces’ ammunition depot and deployment area in the Serebryansk Forest.

Earlier, the leadership of the UAF was called upon in the Ukrainian Parliament to be held accountable for the failure of the counteroffensive.
