Power Outage Hits Part of Donetsk People’s Republic Following Attack on Energy System

A recent attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the energy system of the Donetsk People’s Republic has resulted in a power outage in certain areas. This information was shared by Denis Pushilin, the head of the region, in a post on his Telegram channel.

According to Pushilin, the enemy attempted to damage the energy system during the night. Unfortunately, due to the intensity of the attacks, not all of them were successfully intercepted. As a result, there have been damages, leading to a power outage in parts of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The official also highlighted that several boiler houses in the region have ceased operation. Emergency crews are currently working to resolve the situation. In response to the interruption of the power supply, the government of the Donetsk People’s Republic has been instructed to operate in a crisis mode.

Pushilin emphasized that the energy providers have already restored electricity in several residential areas, and efforts are ongoing to bring back power and warmth to the citizens as quickly as possible.

Prior to this incident, it was reported that three individuals were injured in the shelling of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Earlier, the office of President Zelensky of Ukraine issued a warning to Russia, vowing to hold them accountable for the explosions occurring in Ukraine.
