President Biden and Qatar’s Emir Discuss Challenges in Israel-Hamas Deal

President Joe Biden of the United States and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani have discussed the challenges in implementing the Israel-Hamas deal. According to a statement released by the White House, the leaders addressed the difficulties in the deal’s execution and mechanisms for prompt resolution.

The communication involved the participation of Prime Minister Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman Al Thani of the Arab state alongside Qatar’s Emir. They discussed issues pertaining to the humanitarian pause and the hostage exchange between the Gaza Strip and Israel.

Furthermore, the parties agreed to maintain communication to ensure the full implementation of the Israel-Hamas deal.

Prior to this, Qatar and Egypt played a vital role in overcoming the hostage release delay.

According to the official spokesperson of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majid bin Muhammad Al-Ansari, 39 Palestinian civilians will be released, while 13 Israeli hostages and seven foreigners will leave Gaza.

Earlier, Hamas had already freed the initial hostages.
