In a recent development on the Kupyansk front, Russian forces, supported by combat aircraft and artillery fire, successfully repelled six attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) assault groups. The spokesperson for the Russian force, Sergey Zybinskiy, reported these incidents to TASS.
According to Zybinskiy, the 14th Mechanized Brigade and the 15th National Guard Brigade of Ukraine were involved in the clashes, which took place near the towns of Zaghoryukovka, Pershotravneve, Ivanivka, and Yagodne.
Zybinskiy also mentioned that Russian fighters launched missile and bomb attacks on temporary positions of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade in the Petrovalovka and Kurilovka areas. Additionally, heavy flamethrower systems were used to target Ukrainian servicemen from the 14th Mechanized Brigade in the Sinkyivka area.
During the counter-battery fight, Russian artillery units destroyed a 122mm self-propelled artillery installation, known as the 2S1 “Gvozdika,” as well as three mortar crews in the areas of Kondrashovka, Petrovalovka, and Stepovaya Novoselovka.
The losses suffered by the UAF on this front amounted to approximately 50 servicemen and two unmanned aerial vehicles.
Previously, Ukraine had outlined the conditions for engaging in negotiations with Russia.
