Kamala & Tim’s Pennsylvania Bus Tour: Building Momentum for November

Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz embarked on a bus tour in southwestern Pennsylvania with the hope of gaining enthusiasm for their candidacy ahead of the party’s nominating convention in Chicago. The pair were joined by their spouses, Doug Emhoff and Gwen Walz, as they made their first stop visiting local volunteers at a campaign office in Rochester, Beaver County – a location that Donald Trump won during his 2020 presidential bid.

This bus tour marks Kamala Harris’ eighth trip to Pennsylvania this year and her second visit this month. The vice president’s announcement that Walz would be her running mate came just hours before their first joint appearance as a ticket in Philadelphia. Both Harris and Trump are vying to win the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania on November 5th, with most polls showing a tight race between them.

Southwestern Pennsylvania is a significant region within this key battleground state that has long been of interest to presidential candidates. The area voted for Trump in 2016 and then switched back to voting Democrat for Biden in the 2020 election. Kamala Harris will focus on undecided voters during her visit, as she aims to build momentum and secure votes from diverse areas within Allegheny County.
