Former President Donald Trump acknowledged the staffer responsible for putting up the famous immigration chart at a campaign rally in Harrisburg, Pa., on Wednesday, crediting her with saving his life during a previous attempt by a would-be assassin to shoot him. The former president expressed his love for the chart and requested that the staffer handling the slideshow join him on stage. He then praised her as a “computer genius” who had saved his life, stating that the chart could have been a perfect target for the sniper’s bullet if it had been placed on his left side instead of his right. Trump usually has the chart displayed at less than 20% of his rallies and on his left side. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) revealed that he developed the chart since 2014, first showing it to Trump during a plane trip. The former president then passed it on to his staff, who made some graphic changes before incorporating it into his speeches.
