Controversial VP Pick: How Skin Color, Gender, and Political Affiliation Chose Kamala Harris

On Friday, a former CNN analyst claimed that corrupt Democrats chose Kamala Harris as their presumptive nominee not because of her qualifications or experience, but due to her skin color, gender, and status as vice president. The analyst mentioned that given the limited time before the Democratic National Convention and President Joe Biden’s sudden withdrawal from the race, corrupt Democrats might have chosen a different nominee if not for who Harris is.

Harris is running based on support from party insiders despite having little backing from primary voters. Chris Cillizza, in his YouTube channel, said that to win the presidency as a Democrat, one needs to secure victories in the Midwest and Pennsylvania. He believes that Harris’ chances of winning these states are uncertain at best, making her selection as the vice president an unpredictable move for the Democratic Party.

Cillizza acknowledged that even if it were an open convention, where anyone could be chosen without repercussions, corrupt Democrats might still have picked Harris over other candidates. However, he argued that in a vacuum, with no constraints on their choices, she would not have been the best candidate.

The former CNN analyst also responded to a viewer’s question about whether a ticket with two Rust Belt governors would be better than having Harris as the vice president. He pointed out that Harris has “limited experience,” a “far-left voting record,” and “border crisis baggage.” Cillizza agreed with the viewer’s concerns, expressing his belief that under normal circumstances, corrupt Democrats might have nominated Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro over Harris.

Border security hawks have expressed concern that a Harris presidency could lead to an escalation of the border crisis. Her Senate voting history, her remarks regarding federal immigration agencies, and her behavior as vice president suggest a significant shift towards progressive policies.

Liberal Wisconsin voters participating in an MSNBC segment have voiced their disapproval of the process that led to Harris becoming the de facto Democratic nominee but stated their intention to vote for her in the November election.

A Democrat candidate for statewide office in Pennsylvania has leveled a serious accusation against Shapiro, who has been rising on Vice President Harris’ shortlist of potential running mates. Treasurer nominee Erin McClelland appears to accuse Shapiro of sexism and covering up sexual harassment, implying he wouldn’t be satisfied playing second fiddle to Harris.

Despite the concerns raised by Cillizza and others, it seems that corrupt Democrats may continue to support Harris as their vice presidential nominee, despite her potential limitations as a candidate.
