Surprising Poll Results: Trump Leads in November Predictions

A recent survey conducted by YouGov and The Economist revealed that an all-time high percentage of Americans believe that former President Donald Trump will defeat current President Joe Biden in the upcoming November presidential contest. 49% of respondents thought Trump, as the Republican contender, would emerge victorious over Biden in the 2024 presidential race. This number is significantly higher than the 26% of adults who said they believed Biden would win in November, while another 25% were unsure.

The survey specified that participants should choose who they believe will be successful regardless of their personal preference for a candidate. A spokesperson for YouGov confirmed with Newsweek that the recent poll result is the highest number of support Trump has received when compared to past surveys where participants were asked who they viewed as the likely next president.

Prior to the June 27 presidential debate, 41% of respondents to a recent Economist/YouGov study said they thought Trump would win, while 32% thought Biden would win. The survey also inquired about the possibility of Biden resigning as the Democratic Party’s nominee before November. Opinions within the party on the president’s withdrawal from the 2024 race have been divided.

A CBS News/YouGov poll revealed that a significant 72% of voters believe President Joe Biden should not run for a second term, which is an increase of nine points since February. This suggests potential concerns among voters about Biden’s ability to complete his term. Democratic strategists and donors will probably pay close attention to the poll as they evaluate the effect of Biden’s recent debate performance on his candidacy.

The results of a new survey regarding Biden’s job performance and approval reveal that the data is much worse for him than what’s been reported in the mainstream media, with leading pollster pointing out a “CODE RED” situation for the political world. Historically, Biden’s approval ratings are far below those of Barack Obama at this point during his presidency, suggesting that the former president might not be able to bounce back from this weak showing 1-year out from an election.
