Shots Fired: Trump Survives Assassination Attempt at Campaign Rally

Former President Donald Trump recently experienced an alleged assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. A video capturing Trump exiting his plane, waving to supporters, quickly circulated on social media platforms following the event. The FBI reportedly identified the deceased shooter; however, further details about the attacker remain scarce.

According to early reports on Sunday, the shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the venue, hitting Trump in his right ear. Trump confirmed the shooting and subsequent wounding in a statement on his Truth Social platform. He expressed gratitude for the rapid response of the United States Secret Service and local law enforcement officials during the incident.

The former president acknowledged the two victims injured during the attack: one who was killed and another who suffered critical injuries. In an update, Trump thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers, attributing his safety to divine intervention. He urged Americans to remain resilient in the face of adversity and stand united against evil.

Shortly after the incident, Secret Service agents rushed Trump off the stage, where he was subsequently examined at a local medical facility. His campaign communication director, Steven Cheung, confirmed that Trump was unharmed but being checked out by medical professionals. The chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi, also released a statement addressing the incident, acknowledging their swift response and ensuring Trump’s safety.
