Spearman’s remarks were made as she joined other military veterans in expressing their concerns about Trump’s Project 2025, which has been disavowed by him as his post-election blueprint. The senator emphasized that the Heritage Foundation document would not succeed “on her watch,” and insisted that veteran support will ensure a victory for the Biden-Harris ticket in Nevada.
Entrepreneur Shaundell Newsome, a 10-year Air Force veteran, expressed his disapproval of Trump’s treatment of the military, stating that Joe Biden “can empathize with us” as he is a military father himself and does not label service members as “suckers.” The initiative “Veterans and Military Families for Biden-Harris” aims to harness this support from the veteran community to rally behind the Democratic nominees in November’s election.
