Former Husband Raises Concerns Over President’s Cognitive Abilities

First Lady Jill Biden’s ex-husband, Bill Stevenson, expressed concern about the state of the country after watching President Joe Biden’s interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. Stevenson, who was married to Jill from 1970 to 1975, told The Post that he wishes the president would take a cognitive test, as many people around the world are questioning his ability to make important decisions.

During the interview, President Biden addressed various issues and gave multiple excuses for his performance during the presidential showdown against Donald Trump last week. These excuses included being “exhausted” and “sick” with a “bad cold,” as well as admitting that he let Trump’s remarks distract him.

Stevenson expressed hope that Biden would remain in the race, stating that it would be best for the country for him to lose to Trump. In addition, Stevenson told The Post last week that he no longer recognizes his ex-wife Jill, who has changed significantly since they were married. He also mentioned hearing the term “elder abuse” but clarified that he doesn’t have any information on that subject.

Stevenson once supported Biden when he ran as vice-president with Barack Obama and when he ran for the US Senate in 1972. In 2020, after Biden was named the Democratic presidential nominee, Stevenson alleged that Jill and then-junior senator’s relationship began as an affair.
