Trump Taking The Fifth…to Arizonia

Former President Donald Trump has recently revealed his possible retirement destination – Texas. He made this announcement after receiving an endorsement from the National Rifle Association (NRA) last week, ahead of his guilty verdict in Manhattan. This event marked another significant moment in Trump’s long-standing relationship with gun owners.

During a convention where Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) rallied thousands of attendees, he urged them to vote for Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential race to protect their Second Amendment rights. The atmosphere was electric as both Trump and Abbott addressed the sea of NRA members, many wearing iconic red caps and attire adorned with images of the former president.

I want to move to Texas and I want to retire in Texas. a lot of people are moving to Texas,” said Trump, who visited the state 18 times during his presidency and 13 times after leaving the White House. It is unclear whether this statement was a definitive commitment or simply a show of solidarity with his supporters. However, it mirrors his previous decision to move from New York to Florida while serving as president, which was driven by the state’s favorable climate and tax benefits.

Meanwhile, one of Trump’s attorneys in the hush money case in Manhattan discussed the former president’s options for appealing the 34 felony convictions during an appearance on Fox News. Todd Blanche spoke to host Jesse Watters as he explained the implications of the guilty verdict and the challenges faced by Trump’s legal team, particularly regarding a gag order that prevented him from discussing connections between the judge and the Democrat Party.

That affects not only President Trump but every voter who is going to vote for or against President Trump,” Blanche said. That affects every single voter in this country because they don’t get to hear from the candidate.

The attorney further explained that while it may be fine for someone to be indicted and tried for actions from years ago, it becomes problematic when officials claim such cases are commonplace when they are not. He argued that Trump’s case was unique due to the focus on his personal records and checkbook from 2017 – a scenario that does not occur frequently in any jurisdiction.

As the legal battle continues, it remains uncertain what impact this decision will have on Trump’s political career and where he may eventually settle down for retirement.
