Katharine McPhee and David Foster made a stylish appearance at the 20th annual Gateway Celebrity Fight Night event in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Saturday evening. The 74-year-old producer was affectionately seen with his hand around his 40-year-old wife’s waist as they posed for photos on the red carpet. McPhee stood out in a sparkling nude bodycon dress that showcased her toned arms, pairing it with gold earrings and a bun hairstyle that had loose strands framing her face. Foster, meanwhile, kept it classic in a jet-black suit and tie.
The happy couple has a romantic history dating back to 2006, when Foster served as a guest mentor on American Idol, where McPhee was a contestant. They have since become husband and wife, tying the knot in June 2019 after a whirlwind romance that began in 2017. The couple welcomed their son Rennie in February 2021.
In addition to their personal life, McPhee and Foster have also collaborated on music projects. In 2022, they released a collection of holiday-themed tracks called Christmas Songs, and have toured together numerous times since their marriage. When asked about playing together during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Foster jokingly described life on the road as “a bit of a shlep.” McPhee echoed his sentiments, admitting that she never got used to the constant traveling that comes with being a singer. However, she noted that performing onstage for two hours was the best part of their touring experience.
