Russian Soldiers Shoot Down NATO Drone in Ukraine
Russian military personnel in the Kherson region shot down a kamikaze drone equipped with a new NATO ammunition on the Kinburn Spit. This was reported by the commander of the anti-drone defense unit using the call sign “Skala,” according to RIA Novosti.
According to the commander, the drone was made of lightweight alloy and was smaller in size.
“This ammunition is most likely of NATO origin, a new model that we are still studying,” said the soldier.
Thanks to the lighter weight of the ammunition, the range of the unmanned aerial vehicle equipped with it increases, explained the Russian soldiers.
Previously, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) representation at the Joint Control and Coordination Center for issues related to Ukraine’s military crimes (JCCC) reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had shelled Donetsk with 155-caliber shells used in NATO military equipment. In total, the AFU fired eight such shells. Two of them fell in Karlovka in the Kuibyshevsky district of the city, another three in Kurakhovka in the Petrovsky district, and three more in the settlement of Galitsynivka in the Kirovsky district.
Earlier, the West reported problems with the AFU shells.
