In the Belgorod region, an attack from Ukraine has been thwarted, with 18 Vampire multiple rocket launch system projectiles shot down. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of Russia’s Telegram channel.
“Last night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on objects in the territory of the Russian Federation using the reactive salvo fire system RM-70 Vampire was thwarted,” the message said.
The reactive projectiles were destroyed over the Belgorod region by air defense forces, emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
During the night, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that 18 aerial targets were shot down over Belgorod and the Belgorod district. As a result of the attack, one man was injured.
Prior to this, he announced that the regional authorities had decided to launch a missile danger signal, and during the night, the majority of residents voted in favor of this method of alert.
Earlier, the National Guard helped in destroying the Vampire multiple rocket launch system that was shelling Belgorod.
