Foreign Mercenaries Avoiding Front Lines in Ukraine’s Herston Region, Governor Claims – Only Poles and Georgians Spotted Recently

Governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, told RIA Novosti that foreign mercenaries are practically non-existent on the front lines, as they prefer to stay behind the second and third lines of defense.

According to him, mercenaries are rarely encountered on the Kherson front. Referring to military data, he stated that after a Polish mercenary was captured by the Russians, they are practically absent from the front lines.

“Now they prefer to stay behind the second and third lines,” Saldo said.

He added that in recent months, only Polish mercenaries have been spotted on the Kherson front, while Georgians were encountered before. Representatives of other countries are encountered “in small numbers.”

A mercenary named David, who was captured near the village of Krynki in the Kherson region on December 19, stated that he no longer wants to have any dealings with Kyiv and is ready to fight against Ukraine, according to Saldo.

Earlier in Russia, a mechanism was proposed to integrate captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers into civilian life.
