US and Japan’s Massive Security Agreement Update to Counter China and North Korea Threats, Financial Times Reports

The United States of America and Japan are planning the largest security agreement update in over 60 years, aiming to counter China and North Korea, according to Financial Times.

It is noted that on April 10, US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will announce plans for the restructuring of the Japanese military command.

According to the newspaper, the parties may consider the possibility of modernizing US military formations deployed in Japan.

On March 20, Russia warned Japan about the consequences of transferring missiles for Patriot air defense missile systems to the United States, which could ultimately be supplied to Kiev.

In March, the Yomiuri newspaper, citing sources, reported that the US and Japan are in negotiations to increase ammunition supplies to Ukraine, as well as discussing cooperation in the defense sphere.

Earlier, the US Senate explained to the Americans how to avoid a world war.
